Marketing has become a minefield. The comfortable days of Yellow Pages are long gone, nowadays most entrepreneurs feel overwhelmed by the options and a sense of whatever you’re doing is neither right nor good enough. And if you think you’ve nailed it, technology changes and once again you’re off the pace!
Standing out from the crowd is the name of the game, and I believe I have a natural talent for creating engaging, punchy, sometimes risky but ultimately memorable marketing initiatives.
An obvious but often unasked question.
It took me ten years to work mine out when I was forced to write my Mission Statement. ‘Character’ is what consumers now buy into, and as a small business owner your point of difference over your larger competitors is often your ‘character traits’. I can help you tap into these, and then convey them effectively.
When did you last think this through properly?
Like any other entrepreneur, I have been distracted by social media, but the bulk of my marketing experience and success has come in the form of old fashioned favourites like databases, newsletters, cards, videos, referrals, testimonials and reviews. Junk Mail is now limited to screens, not through our frontdoor, so it’s interesting to note how much impact a hand written letter or card through someone’s door can now have.
When did you last review your website?
I have designed and written several websites and have instigated extensive Google SEO, Adwords and pay per click campaigns. I have proven copywriting skills and have used video extensively to increase engagement.
